Salesman Position Description

The primary responsibilities of this position are sales of parts, maintaining relationships with clients, and H&S coordination.
Regional Manager – Retail Central is the person to whom you report.

Goals of the Salesman Position:

Client liaison – Establishing and maintaining positive relationships between the company and its clients
Make sure there are no complaints from customers.
Take in the customer’s order for the sale.
Processing of sales of parts in a timely manner.
Putting together price estimates and invoices.
At no point in time will you find an incorrectly filed quote, customer order, or invoice.
The urgent orders are being placed with the central warehouse.
Invoice register up to date at all times.
Providing customers with back-ordered parts who have requested them.

Parts catalogue up to date at all times.
Monitoring the shipping and pickup of components for individual customers.
Keeping an eye on the picking of invoices from customers.
Maintain communication with customers regarding their V.O.R orders and provide feedback.
Organizing and filing of customer orders, quotes, and invoices.
Management of the customer invoice register.
Providing assistance with the processes involved in taking stock.

Extra time and being on standby.
Maintenance and updates to all of the Parts Catalogs are being performed.
Complete the Sales Goals and KPIs.
providing assistance in any and all of the part operations that are requested.
Establish and continue to cultivate a customer base.
Follow-up with customers on a daily basis.

Acquiring new clients is a priority.
Conformity to the standards of ISO 9001 and safety
You have ensured that every process in your area of responsibility adheres to ISO standards.
Make sure that the safety procedures are adhered to.
Make sure that the Safety Act and the Safety Regulation are followed.
It is your responsibility to assist the Warehouse Supervisor or Controller whenever it is needed.
Carry out the process of costing the job cards.

It is the responsibility of the Parts Sales person to ensure that the following processes are followed within the Parts Department:

Experience of the Salesman Job and Other Qualifications:

Matric.
Capable of using computers.
A background in the technical aspects would be beneficial.
Previous experience in a Parts Retail environment.

Salesman Important Capabilities:

Customer service savvy, friendliness, and the ability to get along with others are all important.
clean, self-assured, independently motivated, and truthful.
Possessing strong administrative and organizational abilities, along with the capacity to pay close attention to detail and adhere to deadlines, are all essential.
Ability to work effectively under time constraints is required.
