Job Description
We are looking for a person who has previous experience working as a cashier, in addition to someone who is able to carry out their responsibilities with honesty and attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Having experience providing service to customers or clients will be beneficial.
- An additional advantage would be having previous experience working in retail, as a cashier, or in sales.
- Basic skills in mathematics and computer use.
- It is required that you be willing to work weekends and overtime.
- A strong ability to communicate and interact with others.
- Must be able to perform well under pressure and have the ability to multitask.
- Consistently honest, hardworking, and self-motivated.
- Being able to “get things done” and thinking like an entrepreneur are both important skills.
- The resolution of complaints is handled in a helpful and courteous manner.
- Situated within the Vryburg area, this will be beneficial.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customers should be greeted and served.
- Extensive familiarity with the menu as well as the prices.
- Preparedness of the station: Establish a front counter, refrigerators for cold beverages, a display for salads, condiments, and promotional materials.
- Assist customers by providing explanations and/or making product recommendations.
- Have a solid understanding of the point-of-sale (cash register) system.
- Manage transactions such as sales, refunds, and exchanges, as well as complaints.
- The practice of keeping one’s workstation clean at all times.
- A Capacity for Coordination: Required to be able to multitask as well as pack and check orders. The ability to use the appropriate packaging and to verify that the plating is accurate is required.
- The ability to manage conflicts and provide excellent customer service is a requirement for this position.
- The ability to handle delivery service coordination and proper telephone etiquette are both required by the position.
