Job Description
The Clinix Tshepo Themba Private Hospital is situated in the Dobsonville-Soweto region.
Reports to the Reception Supervisor.
Job Summary:
Maintaining a professional demeanor while assisting patients with all facets of the admissions and discharge process, thereby averting financial risks for the organization and surpassing client expectations.
Required Minimum Skills and Experience:
- Grade 12.
- One to two years of experience working as an admissions clerk in a private hospital setting.
- Qualifications for Administration Level 5 NQF.”
- Health-related certification or qualification (beneficial)
- A benefit is possessing knowledge of medical and clinical terminology.
- Possession of ICD code knowledge (beneficial)
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Attend to the needs of all clients and patients with professionalism.
- Inform patients of all aspects of reservations and admissions in accordance with Clinix’s specifications.
- Upon admission, collect from patients all documentation and information required by the company, including an identity document and a current/valid Medical Scheme card, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure the accurate recording of all mandatory patient information upon admission.
- Conduct the discharge procedure in a timely manner as required.
- Efficiently provide an admissions experience that is centered around the customer.
- By adhering to company policies and procedures, such as the collection of co-payments and private patient estimate payments upon admission, identify and prevent financial risks to the organization.
