STAFF NURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Qualification that is acceptable by SANC and enables one to become registered with the organization as a Staff Nurse.
Certification as a Staff Nurse through SANC Registration
STAFF NURSE Competencies/knowledge/skills:
Clearly demonstrate your familiarity with and comprehension of the applicable legal and ethical framework, such as the statutes, policies, standard operating procedures, guidelines, and protocols that govern nursing practice and public service.
Show that you have a fundamental understanding of Ideal Hospital.
Realization as well as ongoing maintenance Utilization of resources in an efficient manner while also keeping records in a manner that is both accurate and appropriate.
Show that you can communicate effectively with your patients, your supervisors, and your coworkers. being willing to work night duty and rotate through different departments.
Continually work on improving yourself while also tending to your professional growth and ethical standards.
Assure the provision of high-quality nursing care by working as a member of a multidisciplinary team and providing assistance to managers.
STAFF NURSE RESPONSIBILITIES:
In accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards, provide fundamental clinical nursing care to patients.
In order to provide quality patient care, the implementation and development of fundamental patient care plans are required. In preparation for diagnostic and surgical procedures, patients should be prepared.
Make economic, productive, and effective use of the resources at your disposal.

NOTE:
The new Z83 form must be used to submit applications.
The application form can be found online at www.dpsa.gov.za/documents or at any Public Service Department.
The new Z83 needs to be fully filled out (for clarification, please see the left side of the Z83 special notes), initialed, and signed.
The Department of Health should be listed on the Z83 as the Department where the position was advertised (Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital).
In accordance with Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) Circular 19 of 2022, applicants are only required to submit a fully completed Z83 and a thorough Curriculum Vitae in lieu of copies of their credentials, service certificates, and other pertinent documents.
The Curriculum Vitae should be current and include the following information: Every experience should be listed in chronological order, with each position’s title, employer, and starting and ending dates (DD/MM/YYYY) indicated.
The new Z83’s information needs to match what is on the Curriculum Vitae.
Candidates with foreign degrees must provide the department with an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority.
Only shortlisted candidates will be required or requested to submit certified copies of their credentials, service certificates, and other pertinent documents on or before the interview (SAQA).
Verification of Personnel Suitability Checks (PSC) (Reference checks) – Provide a minimum of three names, one of which must be an immediate supervisor.
The Department reserves the right to conduct additional verification as needed.
The candidate will be disqualified if they do not submit all of the pertinent information listed above. Verification of identity, credentials, criminal history, creditworthiness, and financial stability, as well as employment.
