Summary of the General Worker Job Advertisement

Maintenance of the garden in addition to the cleaning of the Sewer Pump Stations and the Wastewater Treatment and Works.
Bringing issues to the attention of the Supervisor.

The bare minimum requirements include having completed Matric / Grade 12 or its equivalent, having experience working in a sewer pump station, and being in good physical and mental health.

General Worker Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct a weekly inspection of the pump station.
• During each visit to the pump station, sweep the floors (if necessary).
• Once per week, clean the walls and floors, if necessary.
• Cleaning and dusting the electrical panels once a week
• Cleaning the handrails every week
• Please remove all trash from the area and place it in the appropriate bins.
• Whenever necessary, clean the yard around the pump stations (including taking care of the garden and cutting the grass, for example).
• Acknowledgement and Signature on the Pump Station Register.
